Each interview lasted about nine minutes. Topics of discussion were mostly the same across all four interviews — jobs and the economic recovery — with a particular focus on the payroll tax cut. In his interview with WISH anchor Debby Knox, Obama challenged Congress “not to be a grinch.”
“The American people don’t want as a Christmas present their taxes going up by $1,000,” he said. “And that will be true for 160 million Americans if we don’t extend this payroll tax cut.”
