Phil Sanchez Joins WNCN As Morning Anchor
Phil Sanchez will start next week as the morning co-anchor on WNCN, the NBC-affiliate in Raleigh-Durham.
Sanchez joins WNCN from WISH in Indianapolis, where he was a reporter and weekend anchor. “Phil routinely scooped his competition,” WNCN news director Andrea Parquet-Taylor said in a statement. “He brings energy, passion and a relentless desire to help our team grow stronger.”
He will join the current morning team of anchor Sharon Tazewell, meteorologist Bill Reh and traffic reporter Page Crawford on the newscast, which airs from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays.
After the jump, watch a promo spot of Sanchez and Tazewell.
