Reporter-Anchor Catenya McHenry Out at KXAN

After just a year at KXAN, Catenya McHenry has been let go by the Austin NBC-affiliate.

McHenry announced the news on her Facebook page, according to Austin media blogger Jim McNabb. “My contract was terminated last week,” she wrote. “It’s so unfortunate, especially at this time of the year, but I thank you all my friends and fans for making our show #1 this year.”

McHenry, who has done two stints with KXAN, joined the station in 2010 as a weekend morning anchor and reporter. She was also a KXAN reporter from 1995-98.

KXAN news director Michael Fabac did not immediately return TVSpy’s request for comment.
