Reporter John Schriffen has joined WCBS, the CBS O&O in New York City, on a freelance basis.

Schriffen was most recently a reporter at WRC, the NBC O&O in Washington, DC, according to dcrtv.com. He left the station last year after a year as a reporter and fill-in anchor.

Schriffen’s first day at WCBS was Monday. He has filed two reports for the station this week.

“It feels good to be home!” Schriffen, a former reporter at News 12 The Bronx, wrote on Facebook.
