Rita Garcia is joining Fox owned-and-operated KRIV in Houston as a reporter and weekend anchor.

Garcia, a Texas native, joins KRIV from KCBS-KCAL in Los Angeles, where she was a reporter. She begins this weekend as anchor of KRIV’s 9 p.m. newscast.

“It’s truly rewarding to be back in a place I once called home,” Garcia said in a statement. “I look forward to reporting powerful stories that affect our viewers in a city that has always had a special place in my heart.”
