Shake-Up at WTVR-TV in Richmond

WTVR, Bill Fitzgerald CBS 6 News in Richmond, VA is expanding its news operation in September by adding a 30 minute newscast at 7pm. The newscast will be co-anchored by veteran CBS 6 News anchor Stephanie Rochon and Bill Fitzgerald, a new addition to the CBS 6 News team.

Fitzgerald most recently anchored at the NBC affiliate in Raleigh, NC and earlier in his career anchored at MSNBC and reported and anchored at the NBC affiliate in Birmingham, Alabama.

CBS 6 also announced the return of anchor/reporter Reba Hollingsworth to the morning anchor desk effective early August, 2009. Hollingsworth reported and anchored for CBS 6 News from 2000 to 2005 before moving to the Washington/Baltimore region where she reported for WTTG in Washington and WBAL in Baltimore.

Anchor/Reporter Julie Bragg is also on the move at CBS 6 News. She will move from anchoring the weekday morning newscasts to the 5pm and 5:30pm newscasts in early August. Bragg will report during the day and co-anchor the early evening newscasts with anchor/reporter Rob Cardwell.
