On yesterday’s 6 p.m. newscast, Shane called his tenure at WXYZ “the best 23 years of my professional life.”
“I wanted to thank everyone — at this television station, for one, and everybody out there who watched us faithfully each night from wherever, your living room, your dining room, your family room, your kitchen,” Shane said.
Shane’s final sportscast was on last night’s 11 p.m. newscast. He will return to the station on March 20 for a “formal goodbye.” Watch video of Shane’s retirement announcement inside…
