Investigative Reporter Ana Garcia Out at KNBC

KNBC investigative reporter Ana Garcia has signed off from the NBC owned station in Los Angeles.

“Ana Garcia’s last day at KNBC was on June 24. We are grateful for her years of service and her dedication to advocating on behalf of our viewers,” a KNBC spokesperson told TVSpy. “We wish her the very best in her future endeavors.”

Garcia joined KNBC in 2001. In 2011, she left the anchor desk to focus full time on her investigative and consumer reporting. “Get Garcia, Get Results” was launched in April 2012. She has won six Emmys during her time with the station and was just nominated for two more last week, according to an internal memo from KNBC vice president of news Todd Mokhtari obtained by LA Observed.

Lucy Noland Named Early Evening Anchor at KNBC

Lucy Noland has been named the 6 p.m. anchor at KNBC, the NBC O&O in Los Angeles. Noland takes over beginning tonight for Ana Garcia, who will become a full-time investigative reporter for KNBC.

Noland has anchored at stations in several different markets. “Lucy is a vibrant anchor with a terrific on-air presence,” KNBC vice president and news director Vickie Burns said in a statement. “She is a skilled journalist who will continuously engage viewers and deliver stories that matter.”

Noland joined KNBC earlier this month after four years at Houston’s KHOU, where she co-anchored the 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. broadcasts. She has also been an anchor at WNYW in New York, WJBK in Detroit and KJEO in Fresno.
