On the Move, 5/23/13

Shannon Hori is leaving WFOR in Miami for WAVE in Louisville, where she will be primary anchor. In her new role, she will go by her married name, Shannon Cogan.

After seven months freelancing at KCBS in Los Angeles, Andrea Fujii becomes a full-time staff reporter for the CBS O&O.

Alexandra Limon returns to her native Los Angeles as she joins KTTV. She was previously a reporter for KIRO in Seattle.

Julie Luck joins WFMY in Greensboro as the primary anchor. Luck left rival WGHP last year.

Matt DeLucia jumps 36 markets as he joins WCAU in Philadelphia as a reporter. For the past four years, he has been a reporter at KVVU in Las Vegas. Read more

On the Move, 1/25/13

Andrea Fujii has joined KCBS in Los Angeles as a freelance reporter. Previously, Fujii was a reporter and fill-in anchor at WJZ in Baltimore.

After three years as a reporter and fill-in anchor at KOCO in Oklahoma City, Carla Wade joins WFAA in Dallas as a weekend evening anchor and reporter.

Shelley Walcott joins WMUR in Manchester from WTMJ in Milwaukee. At WMUR, Walcott will be the primary anchor.

Jeff Vaughn returns to Detroit, joining WXYZ as an auto and business reporter as well as anchor of the 5 p.m. newscast. Vaughn comes from San Antonio, where he was the primary anchor at KENS.

Miami native Sheldon Fox returns to his hometown, joining WSVN as a general assignment reporter. Fox was previously the weekend evening anchor and crime reporter for WGNO in New Orleans. Read more

CBS Correspondent Whit Johnson Joining KNBC

Whit Johnson, who has been a CBS News correspondent based in D.C. since 2009, is set to join KNBC as an anchor and reporter.

Johnson will co-anchor the NBC O&O’s new hour-long noon newscast alongside Lucy Noland, in addition to reporting throughout the week for the station’s 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts.  His first day is scheduled for September 10th.

“Whit is a dynamic journalist with outstanding storytelling abilities,” said Todd Mokhtari, KNBC’s vice president of news.  “As we expand our noon newscast, Whit’s contribution to our team will further position us to more effectively cover our expansive market and provide in-depth coverage that matters to our community.” Read more
