Caitlin Roth Joins WTXF As Weekend Meteorologist

WTXF has officially announced that meteorologist Caitlin Roth will join the station as a weekend meteorologist. She replaces SallyAnn Mosey, who left when her contract was up in December.

“As a Bucks County native, Caitlin knows first-hand the weather concerns and needs of our FOX29 viewer,” Steve Schwaid, vice president and news director at the Philadelphia Fox O&O, said in a statement. “She is a great addition to our weather team.”

News of Roth’s hire was first reported last month. Roth joins WTXF from WOWT, the NBC-affiliate in Omaha, where she was the meteorologist and midday anchor. She will debut this weekend.

Meteorologist Caitlin Roth Joining WTXF in Philly

Meteorologist Caitlin Roth is joining Fox owned-and-operated WTXF in Philadelphia, a Fox spokesperson confirms to TVSpy.

Since 2008, Roth has been the weekend morning meteorologist at WOWT, the NBC-affiliate in Omaha. Prior to that, she worked as a meteorologist for Accuweather.

Roth will be the weekend meteorologist at WTXF, replacing SallyAnn Mosey, who will leave the station when her contract is up at the end of the year. An official announcement is expected closer to Roth’s January 23 start date.
