Weekend Anchor Change at WVLT

wheeless_estrada_cropCasey Wheeless (pictured left) is moving from weekend morning anchor to weekend evening anchor for Knoxville, TN, CBS affiliate WVLT.

Wheeless, who started at WVLT in August, replaces Lorena Estrada (right) who is leaving the station for WSVN in Miami.

A WVLT spokesperon told TVSpy Wheeless will start her new role January 3.

Before working at WVLT, Wheeless was an anchor and producer at WBKO in Bowling Green, KY. Estrada worked at the South Florida News Service before joining WVLT.

Casey Wheeless joins WLVT in Knoxville as a weekend morning anchor and multimedia journalist. She comes from WBKO in Bowling Green, where she produced and anchored the 10 p.m. newscast.

Muriel Bailey joins WAFF in Huntsville, Ala. For the past two years, she has been a reporter, producer and fill-in anchor at WTVY in Dothan, Ala.

Tina Jennings, Casey Wheeless Upped at WBKO

WBKO, the ABC-affiliate in Bowling Green, KY, has recently shuffled its anchor lineup.

Tina Jennings (left) takes over as anchor of the morning and midday newscasts. Jennings, formerly the weekend anchor and producer, replaces Haley Harmon, who left the station for a job at WATE in Knoxville.

In the evenings, reporter Casey Wheeless (right) has been promoted to co-anchor of the 10 p.m. newscast. She replaces Lacey Steele, who recently left WBKO for KOAA in Colorado Springs.
