Chief Meteorologist Gene Norman Out at KHOU
After four years as chief meteorologist at KHOU, Gene Norman has parted ways with the Houston CBS affiliate.
General manager Susan McEldoon told the Houston Chronicle in an email that Norman “left KHOU TV to pursue new opportunities in weather forecasting and meteorology.” Norman was on the air an hour before the statement was made, the Chronicle reports.
McEldoon said David Paul will take over on the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts on a temporary basis. Chita Johnson and Mario Gomez will also contribute.
