KABB Adds Elisa Amigo as Anchor

amigo kabbSan Antonio FOX affiliate KABB has announced the addition of Elisa Amigo as co anchor of the station’s 9:00 p.m. news.

“The addition of Elisa to our FOX team is very exciting,” KABB GM Dean Radla said in a statement. “As a journalist, she’s a real pro but most importantly, I feel our viewers will find her very personable and genuine, as well as a great on-air partner for Michael Valdes.”

Amigo comes to KABB from Cleveland where she was an anchor and reporter for WJW.

Cynthia Lee Leaving KABB

cynthia_lee_photoCynthia Lee is leaving San Antonio FOX affiliate KABB to spend more time with her family and “shift her career in a new direction.”

“Many people may not realize I’m a licensed Realtor,” Lee said in a statement. “I have been juggling two careers and motherhood for quite some time.”

According to the station, Lee will work full-time for one of the top commercial real estate brokerages in San Antonio. Her last day at KABB will be Wednesday, May 21.

“It’s been a real privilege for Cynthia to be a part of the FOX San Antonio family and to watch her grow as a broadcast professional,” KABB GM Dean Radla said. “I’m confident that she will enjoy similar success as she turns the page on her broadcast career and launches her new career in commercial real estate. We wish her only the best.”

Sales Veteran Named GM of KABB-KMYS

Dean Radla has been promoted to general manager of KABB and KMYS in San Antonio.  Radla has served as director of sales for the Sinclair duopoly since 1999.

“The past fifteen years at KABB and KMYS have been very rewarding and gratifying, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to expand my leadership responsibilities as general manager,” Radla, who served as KABB’s local sales manager beginning in 1997, said in a statement. “I look forward to building on the stations’ strong operations, quality programming and local news offerings, and continuing to serve our local community.”

Radla succeeds John Seabers, who was recently promoted to Sinclair TV Group Manager. Read more
