Dionne Miller Leaves WFLD

miller cropped wfldDionne Miller, weekend sports anchor for Chicago FOX owned station WFLD, has left the station.

Her last day on-air was Sunday. While there’s no word where Miller is heading, TVSpy hears it might be another station in the market.

Miller started at WFLD in April 2012. She has also worked for FOX Sports Ohio, KSVI-KHMT in Billings, Mont., WPTZ in Burlington, Vt., XETV in San Diego and WCSN in Columbus,, Ohio.

A station spokesperson told TVSpy Evan Fitzgerald will fill-in until a permanent replacement is named. Fitzgerald does work for the Big Ten Network.

Robert Moses signs on as a full-time general assignment reporter at WNYW in New York City. Previously, he was a reporter at KSTP in Minneapolis.

Dionne Miller Joins WFLD as Weekend Sports Anchor

Dionne Miller is joining WFLD in Chicago as the weekend sports anchor, the Fox O&O announced today.

Miller comes from Fox Sports Ohio, where she has been a reporter and host since 2007. She has previously worked at WBNS in Columbus, WWSB in Sarasota and XETV in San Diego.

“I am both honored and excited to be joining a great team at FOX and can’t wait to get started,” Miller said in a statement. “There are few cities that rival the passion Chicago has for sports and as a passionate fan myself, the opportunity to make this city my home, is a dream.”

Miller will anchor sports on the Friday and Saturday evening newscasts. She will also contribute to “The Final Word,” WFLD’s weekly local sports program.
