Daniel Winn joins KMIZ in Columbia as a reporter and anchor. Previously, Winn worked at KRCG in Jefferson City, Mo.

Jason Sloss joins KSWB in San Diego from KESQ in Palm Springs. At KWSB, Sloss will be a reporter.

Jim Blue returns to Toledo as news director and 6 p.m. anchor at WNWO. He spent the past four years in the same role at WFFT in Fort Wayne.

Dan Ball Joins WFFT As News Director, Anchor

Dan Ball is joining WFFT, Nexstar’s independent station in Fort Wayne, as news director and main anchor.

“We’re excited to have Dan join our station and lead our award-winning news team,” VP-GM Bill Ritchhart said in a statement. “Dan brings a wealth of large market experience that can take our news room to the next level.”

Ball was most recently the morning anchor at KSNV, the NBC affiliate in Las Vegas. In March 2012, the station did not renew his contract.

He replaces Jim Blue, who is joining WNWO in Toledo as news director and main anchor.

Jim Blue Coming Back to Toledo as WNWO News Director and Anchor

WNWO has announced Jim Blue will join the Toledo NBC affiliate as news director and 6 p.m. anchor.

“I’m tremendously excited about rejoining WNWO at a time of incredible renewal at the station and in the community,” said Blue. “We’ve all sacrificed in recent years to achieve a new vitality in our economy and in our city. Now I hope to build upon WNWO’s recent successes and work to provide a fresh, independent journalistic voice in Toledo.”

Blue, who comes to the station from WFFT in Fort Wayne, IN, worked for WNWO once before from 2002 to 2008. continued…
