WPTV, a Scripps-owned NBC-affiliate, and WFLX, a Raycom-owned Fox-affiliate, are set to debut a new, half-hour newscast at 4 p.m.

At the beginning of this year, WPTV began producing newscasts for WFLX under a new partnership. In January, WFLX unveiled a new 10 p.m. newscast with WPTV anchors Shannon Cake and Jay Cashmere, in addition to a revamped morning newscast from 7-9 a.m.

Now, WPTV is expanding its lineup on WFLX with “Fox 29 News First at 4:00,” which will be the market’s only newscast in the 4 o’clock time slot. Read more
