John Miller, who began his long broadcasting career as an investigative reporter in New York City, is returning to television, joining CBS News as a senior correspondent with a “major role” on “The Early Show.”

“It will be great to get him back on the air again,” CBS News chairman Jeff Fager said in a statement. “Even better that he will be on CBS.”

Miller’s career in television news began in 1973 at WNEW (now WNYW) in New York City. In 1985, he joined NBC owned-and-operated WNBC in the same market; he was an investigative reporter there until 1994, when he left to become chief spokesperson for NYC police commissioner William Bratton. Read more
