Friends of Keven Strehle are mourning the loss of the award winning photojournalist after he died in a motorcycle accident August 9.

Among his many accomplishments, Strehle won 22 Emmy awards, 16 National Telly Awards, an Edward R. Murrow Award and was named National Press Photographers Association “Photographer of the Year” in 1999. He was founder of SMG productions, worked on Olympic games broadcasts, and had worked as a photojournalist for KING in Seattle, KLAS in Las Vegas, and WCHS and WSAZ in Charleston, WV.

John Stofflet, anchor and reporter for Madison, WI, NBC affiliate WMTV, worked with Strehle at KING in Seattle and told TVSpy, “Keven was a tremendous storyteller, with enormous pride in his craft.
