Anchor Fired for Saying ‘Let’s Get the F*ck Outta Here’ Dreams of Hollywood

kraemer fundRemember Justin Kraemer? He was the KSNW anchor who had a job lined up in Colorado Springs until he was caught on a hot mic ending his weekend newscast by saying, “Let’s get the fuck outta here.”

Soon he was out of a job at the Wichita NBC affiliate and the station where he was heading.

Now Kraemer is looking for $10,000 via his “Getting the f— out of here fund” on gofundme.com. Click here to check it out. As of this writing he’s at $407.00.

“For all my friends and family that were hoping and praying I would make a risky and bold move, you’ll like this,” writes Kraemer on the website. “I am moving to Hollywood.”

Kraemer added, “This is a gamble to say the least but it’s also calculated. I truly believe I’ll be able to make this work.”

Fired Wichita Anchor Spoofs His Own Firing in ‘Anchorman’ Send-Up


Now that the has extra time on his hands, Justin Kraemer has unveiled a video spoofing his firing from Wichita NBC affiliate KSNW.

Kraemer re-enacted the pivotal scene in the first “Anchorman” movie when Ron Burgundy famously told San Diego what to do with its collective self.

The video features various celebrity Wichitans…Wichitonians…Wichitaters…residents of Wichita and the voice of uber-anchor Bill Kurtis.

He tweeted the video out explaining what he did with the lemons life handed him with a link to the video:

Wichita Anchor Who Dropped F-Bomb Doesn’t Get New Job Over Station’s Fear of Publicity

justin kraemer_304x200Justin Kraemer, the Wichita anchor who was fired from NBC affiliate KSNW after dropping an F-Bomb in the final seconds of a broadcast, is still looking for a job.

He told The Wichita Eagle he was close to signing with Colorado Springs NBC affiliate KOAA when the story about his on-air gaffe broke.

He said KOAA told him the deal was off Thursday morning. “The conversation was very clinical and professional, and they informed me that this got a lot more attention than anyone could have possibly imagined when everything got started,” Kraemer told The Eagle. “They’re in a difficult situation because they don’t want to get national or global publicity just for making a reporter hire.”

“It’s been a difficult week,” said Kraemer who told The Eagle he’s not sure what he will do now. “The only thing that’s gotten me through it is the anonymous love I’ve gotten from a lot of people.”

Justin Kraemer Out at KSNW After Hot Mic Moment: ‘I’m Embarrassed’

justin kraemer_304x200Justin Kraemer has been fired at Wichita NBC affiliate KSNW after he ended Saturday night’s newscast with “let’s get the fuck outta here.”

“I’m embarrassed,” Kraemer told The Wichita Eagle. “I did something extraordinarily unprofessional. It’s something that’s drilled into you from the minute you start in this business to always consider the microphones hot.”

Kraemer, KSNW’s weekend anchor, joined the station in 2008. He previously worked at KSNW “in the late 90′s through 2001,” according to a cached version of his online bio, which has been stripped from the station’s website. The Wichita Eagle reports he has another job lined up.

KSNW General manager Erik Schrader and news director Denise Killian have not responded to multiple requests for comment.

No one being at work at 10 p.m. on a Saturday, but KSNW anchor Justin Kraemer may want to double check that he’s off the air before the next time he expresses that sentiment.
