NY1′s Pat Kiernan Gets Another ‘Live!’ Audition

NY1 anchor Pat Kiernan is getting another shot at his dream job co-hosting “LIVE!” with Kelly Ripa.

“LIVE!” is auditioning a rotation of comedians, actors and television hosts to fill the seat of Regis Philbin, who retired from the show in November. Kiernan, who co-hosted once in March, is slated for two more days alongside Ripa — April 30 and May 1.

“There are so many factors in a decision like this that it’s tough to analyze what they’re looking for. So I’m trying not to analyze,” Kiernan told our sister site FishbowlNY. “As with last time, I’ll bring the slightly cheerier version of my NY1 self and they’ll let me know if it’s the right fit for Kelly.”

WNYW’s Greg Kelly Goes After Frequent Critic Joel McHale in Halloween Skit

WNYW’s “Good Day New York” used Halloween as an opportunity to go after Joel McHale of “The Soup” this morning. The Fox O&O’s morning show is often the target of McHale’s mockery so anchor Greg Kelly decided it was time for some payback.

In a Halloween skit, Kelly dressed up as McHale and put on his own version of “The Soup,” which featured a handful of different costumes from Kelly and co-anchor Rosanna Scotto including an impressive turn as Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa. Video inside… Read more
