In Louisville, WAVE Shuffles Newscast Schedule
Following a disappointing November sweeps period, Louisville’s WAVE is making some changes to its newscast lineup for 2012, Rick Redding reports on louisvilleky.com.
Starting in January, the noon newscast on the NBC-affiliate will be moved an hour earlier. With the change, WAVE will be the only station in the market with a newscast in the 11 a.m. timeslot.
The station’s hour-long local talk show, “WAVE 3 Listens,” has occupied the 11 a.m. timeslot since July. That program will now air at noon, with one major change — a new host. In what general manager Ken Selvaggi called “a promotion from within,” John Ramsey will take over for Cindi Sullivan.
