salinas_kdafAmanda Salinas has been named anchor for “Good Day Austin,” the morning news show for Austin FOX owned station KTBC.

“As a native Texan, who graduated from the University of Texas and has spent most of her career reporting and anchoring here, there is no one better versed on all things Austin than Amanda,” KTBC vice president and news director Pam Vaught said in a statement.

Salinas comes to KTBC from KDAF in Dallas. She has also worked at WPBF in West Palm Beach, WFAA in Dallas, KCEN in Waco and KGNS in Laredo, TX.

Beginning January 20, she joins Dave Froehlich, Zack Shields and Keri Bellacosa on “Good Day” and Froehlich as anchor on the Noon news.

Dave Froehlich Joins KTBC From KRIS

Froehlich joins KTBC from KRIS, the NBC affiliate in Corpus Christi, where he was an anchor and reporter. He has also worked at WDAF in Kansas City, KVII in Amarillo and KREX in Grand Junction, Colo.

“Dave will be a real asset to our newsroom. His intelligence, quick wit and experience covering news in Texas make him a great fit for our morning news,” KTBC vice president and news director Pam Vaught said in a statement.

Froehlich will co-anchor alongside Keri Bellacosa and meteorologist Zack Shields. He replaces Greg Kerr, who is leaving KTBC after just a year with the station.
