Lucy Noland Named Evening Anchor for WTXF

lucy noland croppedPhiladelphia FOX owned station WTXF has named Lucy Noland evening anchor.

“Lucy is one of the smartest anchors  I’ve ever worked with,” Jim Driscoll, WTXF VP and news director said in a statement. “She brings an energy and passion for storytelling that I believe will truly resonate with our viewers.”

Last week, WTXF evening anchor Kerry Barrett was moved to mornings. Noland will anchor the station’s 5:00, 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. newscasts.

Noland last worked as an anchor at KNBC in Los Angeles. She has also worked at KHOU in Houston, FOX’s owned stations in New York (WNYW) and Detroit (WJBK), KIMO in Anchorage, AK, KFSN in Frenso, CA, and KGO in San Francisco, and KJEO in Fresno.

Kerry Barrett to Join ‘Good Day Philadelphia’

barrett_wtxf croppedFOX Philadelphia anchor Kerry Barrett is moving to Good Day Philadelphia after her return from maternity leave.

A spokesperson for FOX owned WTXF confirmed the move first reported by philly.com. She is expected to return sometime this summer.

Barrett will anchor alongside Chris Murphy from 4:00 to 7:00 a.m. and report from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m.

Barrett joined WTXF in 2008 as a freelance reporter in 2008. Before she left for maternity leave, she was an evening anchor.

Iain Page Named Evening Anchor at WTXF

After two months filling in on the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts, Iain Page has officially been named evening co-anchor at WTXF, the Fox owned station in Philadelphia.

“Iain’s on-air presence, engagement with viewers and versatility made him the right choice for this premier role on our evening news,” WTXF vice president and news director Jim Driscoll said in a statement.

Page joined WTXF in February as co-anchor of the 5 p.m. newscast alongside Kerry Barrett. When Thomas Drayton left the station in July, Page took over for him on the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts.

Kerry Barrett Promoted to Evening Anchor at WTXF

Kerry Barrett, a reporter at Philadelphia Fox O&O WTXF, has been named the station’s evening co-anchor.

Although Barrett has been filling in on the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts alongside Thomas Drayton since last fall, WTXF news director Steve Schwaid officially announced the promotion today.

“Kerry’s reporting skills demonstrate a genuine connection to our viewers and a unique understanding of the issues facing residents in the Delaware Valley,” Schwaid said. “We are excited to have her in this increased role at our station.”

Barrett joined WTXF in 2010. Her appointment to evening anchor is effective immediately.
