Kim Posey Named KWGN Morning News Anchor

Kim Posey has been named co-anchor of Denver CW affiliate KWGN’s morning show “Daybreak.”

“Kim has done a wonderful job on “Daybreak” since Natalie Tysdal left at the end of May,” said KDVR-KWGN vice president of news Ed Kosowski. “She and Tom Green, Chris Tomer and Jacki Jing already have a terrific rapport that will only get better in the months come.”

She has been with KDVR since its news launched in 2000 and had been anchoring weekend evenings on the FOX affiliate since February 2012. She will continue to report for the station.

Before coming to Denver, Posey worked at KSAZ in Phoenix, AZ, KRDO in Colorado Springs, CO, and KAAL in Austin, MN.

Meteorologist Dave Warren joins Al Jazeera America from WCAU in Philadelphia.

Josh Bernstein joins Al Jazeera International as an investigative correspondent. Bernstein was previously senior investigative reporter at KDVR in Denver.

Kori Chambers returns to his native New York as he joins WPIX as morning anchor. Chambers comes from WFLD in Chicago, where he was the morning and noon anchor.

Dan Mannarino has been promoted to early morning anchor at WPIX in New York City. He has been a reporter for the station since 2011. Read more

KDVR Announces Anchor Changes, Hires New Morning Team

Denver FOX affiliate KDVR has hired a new morning anchor team that includes former KCNC anchor Brooke Wagner. Wagner’s new co-anchor will be Kirk Yuhnke who joins KDVR from Phoenix ABC affiliate KNXV.

“We believe Brooke and Kirk, along with meteorologist Jennifer Broome and traffic anchor Ken Clark, will make a dynamic team,” KDVR news director Ed Kosowski told TVSpy. “They have the experience, passion and personality to make “Good Day Colorado” a unique morning newscast in this highly-competitive market.”

Both Wagner and Yuhnke, who go on-air two weeks from today on April 22, broke the news via social media.  Wagner chose twitter to announce, saying, “Friends, I’m thrilled and proud to announce I have a new TV home @KDVR ! I will start on #GoodDayColorado soon! Honored to join the team!” Read more
