Sales Veteran Named GM of KABB-KMYS

Dean Radla has been promoted to general manager of KABB and KMYS in San Antonio.  Radla has served as director of sales for the Sinclair duopoly since 1999.

“The past fifteen years at KABB and KMYS have been very rewarding and gratifying, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to expand my leadership responsibilities as general manager,” Radla, who served as KABB’s local sales manager beginning in 1997, said in a statement. “I look forward to building on the stations’ strong operations, quality programming and local news offerings, and continuing to serve our local community.”

Radla succeeds John Seabers, who was recently promoted to Sinclair TV Group Manager. Read more

Sinclair Broadcasting Locks In Long-term Affiliation Agreement with The CW

Sinclair Broadcasting announced today that they have reached a deal with The CW to extend affiliation agreements at 10 Sinclair-owned stations through August 2016. The current CW affiliation agreement at the stations was set to expire in August.

“SBG and The CW have a history of working together in providing viewers with world class programming and building station value,” said Elizabeth Tumulty, executive vice president of network distribution for The CW. “We’re pleased to extend our long-term partnership with SBG as The CW prepares to launch our most exciting and aggressive Fall schedule to date.”

Sinclair Broadcasting represents one of the largest CW affiliate groups. The stations with new affiliation agreements are: WUCW, WLFL, WNUV, WNAB, WVTV, KMYS, WTTO-WDBB, KVCW and KOCB.
