Terry Moore KOLR’s ‘Reporter’s Reporter’ Dies

Former KOLR reporter Terry Moore has died.

Moore started working at the Springfield, MO, CBS affiliate right out of high school in 1954. He worked at KOLR for 42 years.

“There’s a lot to remember about Terry Moore, his smooth baritone voice, his patience, and easy demeanor,” said KOLR anchor David Oliver. “Of course, his pencil behind his ear and his old manual typewriter right next to his desk. Terry kept that there after our newsroom got computers, just in case they ever stopped working.”

The veteran reporter, who was described by the current anchors as a “reporter’s reporter,” also had a medical series called “Health Beat” and “Ozarks Chronicles,” a show covering the region’s history.

Moore was 77.
