Kylie Bearse to Join WCCO

Salt Lake City ABC affiliate KTVX said goodbye to weekend weather anchor Kylie Bearse in a unique way last night.

Through the magic of what we once called videotape, KTVX anchor Randall Carlisle tossed to Bearse’s new colleagues in Minneapolis. WCCO weekend meteorologist  Lauren Casey, morning meteorologist Matt Brickman and Kim Johnson said howdy to their new colleague. Johnson, who worked with Bearse at KTVX, assured her that coming to the Minneapolis CBS owned station was a good career move.

Bearse joined KTVX last year from KIFI in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Here’s Star Tribune gossip columnist C.J.:

I’m told that WCCO’s HR department had a heart-to-heart with an employee who attended a Halloween party with colleagues wearing a nametag that read “New Hire,” along with a blonde wig and some strategic stuffing that made him look bodaciously busty.

C.J. reports that station management may have found out about the costume from seeing photos on Facebook. Read more
