On the Move, 12/4/13

Zev Shalev joins WPIX as executive producer of the morning newscast.

Guy Rawlings joins KTVT in Dallas as a sports anchor and reporter. Previously, Rawlings worked at WGCL in Atlanta.

Lori Wilson has been promoted to main anchor at WISH in Indianapolis. She joined the station in June as the 5 p.m. anchor.

Stefanie Cruz has been named anchor of the 5 p.m. newscast at KTXL in Sacramento. She will continue to anchor the 5:30, 6 and 1o p.m. newscasts.

Weathercaster Mary Lee joins KING in Seattle from KPRC in Houston.  Read more

Indianapolis Station Makes Two Anchor Moves

martin_wilsonWISH has announced starting tomorrow, Lori Wilson (pictured right) will co-anchor the Indianapolis CBS affiliate’s 6:00 and 11:00 p.m. news and Brooke Martin (pictured left) will co-anchor the 5:30 and 10:00 p.m. newscasts.

Wilson replaces the retiring Debby Knox. She currently anchors the stations 5:00 p.m. news and reports live for the 10:00 and 11:00 pm. shows. Martin currently anchors the weekend news and also reports for the weekday 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. news.

Don Dahler joins CBS News as a New York correspondent. Dahler was previously a weekend anchor and reporter at WCBS, the CBS O&O in New York City.

Jeff Pegues joins CBS News as a Washington, D.C. correspondent. He comes from WABC, the ABC O&O in New York City.

Alina Machado joins CNN as an Atlanta-based correspondent. She comes from WTVD in Raleigh-Durham, where she was a reporter. Read more

Lori Wilson Joins WISH as Anchor

WISH has announced Lori Wilson will join the Indianapolis CBS affiliate in mid-June as an anchor and reporter.

“Lori has built a solid career filled with many examples of quality journalism both reporting out on the street and behind the anchor desk,” said WISH news director Steve Bray. “We are thrilled to welcome her home to Central Indiana and to our 24-Hour News 8 team.”

In addition to anchoring the 5:00 p.m. news, Wilson will also report live during the station’s 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. news. Read more

Keith Jones Named Morning Anchor at WCAU

Beginning in July, Keith Jones will be the morning anchor at WCAU in Philadelphia, the NBC O&O announced today.

Jones comes to WCAU from WTAE, the ABC-affiliate in Pittsburgh, where he has been a reporter and anchor for the past two years. He has previously worked at WCAU as an intern while attending Villanova University. In his new role, he will also report for the station.

“We’re excited to welcome Keith back to NBC10 as part of our on-air team,” president and general manager Eric Lerner said in a statement. “He has an enthusiasm and energy that our viewers will respond well to.”

Jones will be paired with WCAU morning anchor Lori Wilson. Stacey Stauffer, who has been filling in at the morning anchor desk, will return to reporting full-time, according to a station spokesperson.

Frank Holland joins WGN in Chicago as an anchor-reporter from WDIV in Detroit.

Joel Brown joins WTVD in Durham, NC as an anchor-reporter from correspondent at CBS Newspath in Washington, D.C.
