Bud Elliott to Retire From KSEE After More than 23 Years

elliott KSEEBud Elliott, anchor for Fresno NBC affiliate KSEE, has announced he’s retiring in May.

“My career with KSEE 24 has given me the opportunity to meet and work with incredible people,” Elliott said in a statement. “Now I’m looking forward to spending quality time with my family including a brand new grandson in Sacramento, and focusing on some recently discovered health issues.”

There was no mention of what health issues Elliott was talking about.

“Central Valley viewers, as well as those of us who have had the pleasure of working with him, have all benefited from Bud’s talent and dedication,” said Matthew Rosenfeld, KSEE VP and GM. “I know he is looking forward to retirement and the additional time he’ll have to spend with his family.” Read more

Veteran Anchor Bud Elliott Rejoins KSEE

Bud Elliott, who spent 21 years as an anchor at KSEE before the station let his contract expire in 2007, is rejoining the Fresno NBC-affiliate.

Following a successful guest anchoring stint in February, Elliott is becoming a full-time member of KSEE’s morning team. Elliott’s run as guest anchor was a cross-promotion between KSEE and KJWL, where he has spent the past four years as the radio station’s morning anchor and co-news director.

“As we expected, the viewer feedback was overwhelming,” KSEE president and general manager Matthew Rosenfeld said, referring to Elliott’ guest anchoring stint. “It only made sense that we explore a path that would bring Bud back to the KSEE24 news team that he was an important member of for over 20 years.” Read more
