In Buffalo, WIVB Gets a $2.5M Makeover

Buffalo CBS-affiliate WIVB unveiled a new look, the result of a $2.5 million makeover, on the 5 p.m. newscast yesterday.

Working Conditions at Buffalo’s WIVB Are ‘Stressful,’ Station Sources Say

WIVB Moves Meteorologist Mike Cejka to Weekends

WIVB, the CBS-affiliate in Buffalo, has moved veteran meteorologist Mike Cejka from weekday mornings to weekends — at least temporarily.

According to Buffalo media reporter Alan Pergament, Cejka will be the weekend meteorologist “for the forseeable future.” Meteorologist Amelia Segal has replaced him on the morning and noon newscasts.

Cejka has been at WIVB since 1983. Pergament reports he was informed of the shift change when the schedule was posted, and was never spoken to by station management about the switch.
