Huisentruit, who was declared legally dead in 2001, did not show up at work the day of her disappearance in 1995. When a producer for the station reached her by phone at 4 a.m., Huisentruit said she had overslept and was on her way to work. She never arrived at the station. Near her car, which was found in the parking lot of her apartment building, police found evidence of a struggle.

Today is the one-year anniversary of Casey Anthony‘s acquittal in the death of her daughter, Caylee. Anthony’s attorney, Jose Baez, has just released a book about the case, which was the subject of intense coverage in the Orlando market. The Orlando Sentinel‘s Hal Boedeker breaks down the details:
