Kait Parker joins The Weather Channel as an on camera/field meteorologist. Parker comes from WPTV in West Palm Beach, where she has been the weekday morning meteorologist for the past three years.

Joe Fryer joins NBC News as a Los Angeles-based correspondent. He previously worked at KING, the NBC affiliate in Seattle.

Marcelino Benito moves from KGUN in Tucson to KHOU in Houston. In his new role, he will be a general assignment reporter.

Samantha Ptashkin joins KPRC in Houston as a reporter and multimedia journalist. She previously worked at KVOA in Tucson. Read more

Meteorologist Brandon Orr joins WYMT in Hazard, Ky. He comes from Pennsylvania Cable Network in State College, Penn.

Rachel Calderon joins KWTV in Oklahoma City as a reporter and anchor on the morning newscast. She previously worked at rival KOCO.

Devin Sanchez has been named weekend anchor at KWES in Midland, Texas. Since June 2012, she has been a reporter and producer at the station.

KOCO Traffic Reporter Signs Off

calderon_kocoRachel Calderon, traffic reporter for Oklahoma City ABC affiliate KOCO, signed off from the station this morning.

Calderon tweeted, “Gonna miss moments like this. Today’s my last day w/ #koconews. Change can be tough but #DaringGreatly.” You can also watch Calderon’s on set goodbye by clicking here. KOCO’s website doesn’t support embedding video.

Calderon started he career at KGWN in Cheyenne, WY. She has also worked as weekend anchor and reporter at WILX in Lansing, MI, and at WXMI in Grand Rapids, MI. She was also a field producer for NBC Sports at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
