KNTV Adds 2 Veteran Anchors To News Team

KNTV has hired two new anchors to join its news team — veteran journalists Jon Kelley and Janelle Wang.

Kelley is a 15-year veteran of the television business. He has a broadcast career that includes time at Chicago’s WMAQ, Kansas City’s WDAF and Fox Sports. Kelly will join the NBC O&O as co-anchor of the morning show alongside Laura Garcia-Cannon.

Wang has worked in the San Francisco market for the last eight years as the host of “The View from the Bay,” a one-hour talk show on ABC O&O KGO. She will anchor KNTV’s 5 p.m. broadcast with Raj Mathai.

“We’re very happy to add these two strong, experienced journalists to our newsroom,” KNTV vice president of news Jonathan Mitchell said. The two anchors will start at the San Francisco station later this month.
