Phil Anaya Named Weekend Anchor at KENS

Phil Anaya is stepping into the weekend anchor role at KENS, the CBS-affiliate in San Antonio.

Anaya joined KENS in June as a reporter. He will co-anchor the weekend newscasts with Karen Grace beginning April 28.

“We conducted an extensive search and auditioned countless candidates from around the country, but the very best person for the job was already right here in our newsroom,” KENS president and general manager Robert McGann said in a statement.

Anaya replaces Christopher Heath, who joined WKEF in Dayton last year.
