On the Move, 7/30/13

Rosa Flores joins CNN as a correspondent and substitute anchor based in New York. She joins the network from WBRZ in Baton Rouge, La.

Melissa Mollet will freelance for NBC NewsChannel in Washington, D.C. Mollet is also a freelance reporter at NBC owned WRC.

Chris Coffey joins WMAQ in Chicago as an investigative reporter. He comes from WVIT in Hartford, where he served in the same role. Read more

WBRZ Anchor Rosa Flores Joins CNN

Rosa Flores is leaving Baton Rouge ABC affiliate WBRZ to be a correspondent and substitute anchor at CNN. She will be based in New York City.

“To be able to report for the premiere newsgathering operation in the world has been a dream ever since I covered my first story. I am honored and excited to be joining CNN and work with the best in our profession,” Flores said in a statement. “I look forward to being able to tell stories on a national level. I can’t wait to get started.”

Before joining WBRZ in 2012, Flores worked at WDSU in New Orleans, KHOU in Houston and KWTV in Oklahoma City. She starts at CNN in July.

On the Move, 5/22/12

Reporter Rochelle Ritchie is joining CBS O&O WJZ in Baltimore, from WPTV in West Palm Beach, FL.

Rob Collins has been named weekend anchor at WDAF in Kansas City.  For the past several years, Collins has anchored the morning news for WCIA in Champaign, IL.

Rosa Flores is leaving her reporter post at WDSU in New Orleans to become a 4 p.m. anchor and reporter at WBRZ in Baton Rouge.

Jennifer French is moving up 100+ markets from her weekend anchor-reporter position at KTEN in Denison, TX to become a multimedia reporter at WSYX in Columbus, OH. Read more
