NBC Owned Stations Names Sarah Glover Head of Social Media

NBCOTS_VectorSarah Glover has been promoted to Social Media Editor for the NBC Owned Television Stations division.

Glover comes to NBC OTS from WCAU in Philadelphia. She will help the station group’s 11 stations “build and engage” their social media audiences.

“Sarah is smart, collaborative and understands firsthand the daily needs of our stations’ digital teams,” Josh Kleinbaum, executive editor of Digital Media, NBC Owned Television Stations said in a statement. “As audiences increasingly turn to social media for their local news and information, Sarah will play an integral role in ensuring we have the right strategies in place to engage our communities and distribute our content across the various social platforms.”

Before working at WCAU, Glover was staff photographer at the Philadelphia Daily News. Before that she was staff photographer at The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Sarah Glover Joins WCAU as Social Media Editor

Sarah Glover will join WCAU, the NBC O&O in Philadelphia, as social media editor today.

Glover most recently worked at the Philadelphia Daily News, where she shot, produced and edited video for the newspaper’s website. In 2010, she led the Daily News video team on a series called “Tainted Justice,” which won the Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting.

“NBC10′s presence in social media continues to grow,” WCAU vice president of news Anzio Williams said in a statement. “We’re excited to have Sarah on board and look forward to her creative input as we explore new ways to engage our viewers online.”
