Sheena Parveen has been named the weekday 11pm meteorologist at WCAU in Philadelphia, in addition to her afternoon duties.

As WCAU Chief Meteorologist Recovers From Double Bypass, Station Plans Series on Heart Health

WCAU chief meteorologist Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz is resting in a Philadelphia hospital after undergoing double bypass heart surgery this morning.

“Glenn is recuperating well and is in good spirits,” WCAU news director Chris Blackman said. “He feels fortunate that he recognized the signs of potential trouble. We’re all keeping him in our thoughts and wish him a speedy recovery.”

As Schwartz spends the next several weeks recuperating, the NBC station plans to run a series of special segments about heart health. Read more

Meteorologist Lindsay Milbourne Joins WTVT

Meteorologist Lindsay Milbourne is the newest addition to WTVT, the Fox O&O in Tampa.

Milbourne joins WTVT from WBTW, the CBS-affiliate in Myrtle Beach. WTVT vice president and news director John Hoffman said in a statement Milbourne’s “strong credentials, coupled with her engaging personality, make her a fitting addition to our station.”

Milbourne, who will be the weekend meteorologist, replaces Sheena Parveen, who left WTVT in November to join WCAU in Philadelphia.

Meteorologist Sheena Parveen Joins WCAU

Meteorologist Sheena Parveen, who left WTVT in Tampa last month, is joining WCAU in Philadelphia, the station announced today.

Parveen will contribute weather reporting to newscasts at 11 a.m. and 4, 5 and 6 p.m. She will start at the NBC O&O later this month.

“Our viewers will quickly connect with the passion and energy she brings to weather reporting,” WCAU vice president of news Chris Blackman said in a statement.

Before joining WTVT, Parveen was a meteorologist and reporter at WCTV, the CBS-affiliate in Tallahassee.

Meteorologist Sheena Parveen Leaving Tampa’s WTVT

Sheena Parveen, the weekend morning meteorologist at Fox owned-and-operated WTVT in Tampa, is Philadelphia-bound.

According to the St. Petersburg Times, Parveen is leaving the station after two years to be a meteorologist at a station in Philadelphia. She plans to reveal more details later this week.

The Florida native was a meteorologist at WCTV, the CBS-affiliate in Tallahassee, prior to joining WTVT. Her last day with the station will be Sunday.

WTVT is searching for her replacement. In the interim, Andy Johnson will fill in.
