Sheila Brummer Returns to KTIV as Anchor

brummer_ktivSheila Brummer has been named co-anchor for KTIV.

She will co-anchor the Sioux City, IA NBC affiliate’s 5:00 p.m. news and join Matt Breen at 6:00 and 10:00 p.m.

“I am so happy to have this opportunity to return to the team at KTIV,” said Sheila. “I have worked in bigger cities, but the talent and the enthusiasm at KTIV surpasses them all. Matt Breen could work anywhere in the country and I can’t wait to sit next to him each night.”

“I am very excited to bring back home to Siouxland a familiar face for our viewers,” Bridget Breen KTIV station manager said in a statement.

Brummer started her career at KTIV in the early 1990′s. She has also worked in Wausau, WI, Des Moines, IA, Omaha, NE, and Las Vegas, NV.

Her first day will be Thanksgiving.

On the Move, 6/20/11

Christin Ayers is promoted to staff reporter from freelance at KPIX in San Francisco. An Edward R. Murrow Award winner, Ayers left Denver’s KMGH in January after two years there as a reporter.

Devon Lucie, a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, becomes the evening meteorologist for NewsChannel 8 in Washington DC where he has been freelancing since January.

Sheila Brummer becomes a morning and noon anchor for KMTV in Omaha. Brummer grew up just outside of the market and is happy to be home.

Stephen Ryan has joined the news team with KTVK in Phoenix. He anchors the Saturday evening news and covers the police beat as a reporter. Read more
