With the Addition of Adam Caskey, Steve Browne to Scale Back at KSAT

steve browneSan Antonio ABC affiliate KSAT has announced Adam Caskey will be the meteorologist on the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts when he joins the station. Caskey replaces Steve Browne (pictured), who will remain on the 10 p.m. newscast.

“Father time and constant deadline pressure was taking a toll leaving me with the realization that it is time to ask for help,” Browne wrote on the KSAT website. “…I will have more time to pursue other interests. I am not retiring, ¬†just stepping back. I truly believe this is a win win situation for all involved and look forward to the future.”

Caskey joins KSAT after 11 years at WJLA. Browne has worked at the station since 1992.

KSAT Meteorologist Thinks He Sees Tornado Touch Ground (It Was Something on the Camera Lens)

“Ooooohhh my goodness!” KSAT meteorologist Steve Browne shouted, as he viewed a live shot of the San Antonio area during the ABC-affiliate’s severe weather coverage Monday night. “Looks like we have a TORNADO ON THE GROUND!”

After a short pause, Browne backed away from his blustery pronouncement.

“That could be an artifact on the camera lens. I think I might’ve misstated it” (video above).
