Telemundo Station Group Opens Business Development Office in Mexico City

The Telemundo Station Group is opening a business development office in Mexico City. The unit will support and generate investments from companies in Mexico and Latin America that are looking to reach the U.S. Hispanic market at both national and local levels.

The office will be led by Juan Witt, who has been named vice president of business development. Witt comes to Telemundo from Univision Communications, where he has worked since 2004, most recently as the senior vice president of new business.

“Juan brings a great wealth of expertise in leading the commercial path from Mexico to the US Hispanic market,” Telemundo Station Group EVP Tom Arnost said in a statement. “His proven track-record driving revenue growth and tremendous market credibility make him a great addition to our team as he will play a key role in the continued growth and success of Telemundo Local Media.”

Tom Arnost Named New Telemundo Executive

Tom Arnost has been named to the newly created position of executive vice president & chief revenue officer for the Telemundo Station Group.

Arnost wil lead the groups revenue generating functions including the national and local sales offices as well as digital and new business initiatives, local events and out of home platforms.

“Tom has been a key player in leading the charge of raising awareness about the Hispanic market and the value of the U.S. Hispanic audience for many years,” said president of Telemundo, Manuel Abud. “As Telemundo continues to grow its audience share and work with partners new to the Spanish-language television landscape, his reputation and deep experience driving revenue growth will foster further success for our Station Group.”
