Vinita Nair Joins CBS Newspath

Vinita Nair is the newest correspondent for CBS Newspath, the network’s 24-hour television news service for CBS affiliates.

In her new role, Nair will be based in New York. She is a former co-anchor of “World News Now” and “America This Morning,” ABC’s early morning newscasts, and spent three years as a contributor for “Good Morning America.”

Before joining ABC in 2007, Nair worked as a reporter and anchor at KWGN in Denver and KOLN-KGIN in Lincoln.

Former KDVR Morning Anchor Peggy Bunker Set to Take Over ABC’s ‘World News Now’

Peggy Bunker, who left Denver’s KDVR last year after anchoring the Fox-affiliate’s morning newscast for three years, is set to become the face of ABC’s “World News Now.”

TVSpy has learned that Bunker has been chosen to succeed Vinita Nair, who is leaving the overnight news program program after three years.

Since departing Denver last spring, Bunker has been working as a correspondent for CBS’s Newspath.  She has a long and diverse resume that includes stints with KOMO, HGTV, Court TV, and New York’s News 12.

An ABC spokesperson says that Bunker will be “filling in for two months,” but her role could likely extend beyond that.

Bunker is perhaps best known for a two-year legal battle with her former fiance over the custody of the couple’s dogs. She eventually won. Video of Bunker in action after the jump… Read more
