WPVI President and General Manager, Bernie Prazenica, in a press release said, “We are thrilled to bring Action News to the prime time audience and we’re delighted to be on a respected station like PHL17.”

Joseph, along with anchors Brian Taff and Shirleen Allicot and sportscaster Ducis Rodgers will  debut Action News at 10 on PHL17 on September 15.

Morning Anchor Victoria Hong Leaving WIVB

Victoria Hong, the morning and noon anchor at WIVB, is leaving the Buffalo CBS-affiliate.

“I’m very appreciative of my time at Channel 4, they took me at a serious time in my life,” Hong told Buffalo media blogger Alan Pergament. “I’m getting older and it’s time for a new adventure.”

Hong originally joined WIVB in 1993, but left three years later. She returned to WIVB in 2003 after stints at WPHL in Philadelphia and WRGZ in Buffalo. According to Pergament, she plans to leave television altogether.
