Tenikka Smith Promoted at WSOC-WAXN

Tenikka Smith has been promoted at WSOC-WAXN in Charlotte.

Smith will be the weekday anchor at WAXN, an independent station. She is currently the weekend anchor at sister station WSOC, the ABC-affiliate.

“Tenikka is an outstanding reporter and anchor,” WSOC news director Julie Szulczewski said in a statement. “She will be an asset to our morning team and will continue to provide WSOC and WAXN with strong enterprise reporting.”

Smith joined WSOC-WAXN in 2009 as a general assignment reporter. Prior to that, she was a reporter at WPTY-WLMT in Memphis.
