Ricky Joseph has been named president and general manager of WAND, the NBC-affiliate in Decatur, IL. He will start in February of next year.

Joseph has been president and general manager of KTRV in Boise since 1998. Earlier this month, KTRV announced it would suspend news operations, citing the “different business model” needed after losing the market’s Fox affiliation and becoming independent.

Joseph replaces Ron Pulera, who will remain at the station through March to oversee the transition.

“I am extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to lead a strong station with an excellent staff,” Joseph said in a statement. “I look forward to maintaining the high standard set by Ron and solidifying WAND’s strong community presence.”
