KUSA, along with sister station KTVD, is currently airing an It Gets Better spot from entertainment anchor-reporter Kirk Montgomery, who says it’s the scariest thing he’s done in his two decades in TV.
The spot, which was produced by KUSA’s promotions department and written by the veteran TV personality, features Montgomery recounting his problems with bullying growing up (video above).
“I’ve been in TV for 20 years and this was the scariest yet most rewarding thing I’ve ever done on the air,” Montgomery said recently. “If I can help just one kid who happens to watch me on TV it is all worth it–I know that is a cliché but I really feel that way.”
