VIDEO: KSDK Reporter Goes on Awkward Date with Cardinals Slugger

Julie Tristan, the host of KSDK’s “Show Me St. Louis,” has gained a following among smart-alecky sports bloggers after her recent on-air “date” with St. Louis Cardinals slugger David Freese. Tristan rode the Mr. Freeze roller coaster at Six Flags with Mr. Freese, who she introduced as “my new boyfriend.”

Deadspin described the flirty fluff piece as “the last gasp of local news reporting” (video above).
