This is something you don’t see everyday: a teleprompter caught fire during KLAS‘s 5 p.m. newscast on Thursday (video above).

Smoke could be seen rising into the frame of a studio camera as reporter George Knapp attempted to close out his story towards the beginning of the CBS-affiliate’s newscast.  Anchor Paula Francis later explained that a small fire had broken out, before she launched into a story about two local wildfires.
