Video: Weathercaster Freaks Out at Spider in Studio

“I’m leaving the studio right now,” WXIN meteorologist Jim O’Brien shouted at his “Fox59 Morning News” colleague Ray Cortopassi, as the anchor taunted him with a giant tarantula on-air Thursday. “I’m not kidding!”

After a segment with an exotic animal expert, Cortopassi tormented O’Brien with the spider, causing the arachnophobic weathercaster to cut his forecast short and head for the door (video above).

“Looks like I made it big…lol,” O’Brien wrote on his Facebook page about his now-notorious meltdown, “nothing like making national news because of my fear for spiders! New high or new low?”
