‘View’ Host to Star in New Lifetime Sitcom

Sherri Shepherd‘s new Lifetime sitcom, “Sherri,” will premiere Oct. 5, The Post has learned.

Shepherd, who co-hosts “The View,” will continue on the ABC gabfest while starring in “Sherri” as a freshly divorced mom and part-time comedian/actress who re-enters the dating scene.

The show, one of the few sitcoms being shot in Manhattan, tapes at the Hotel Pennsylvania (33rd & 7th)–the former home of “Sally Jessy Raphael” and “Maury Povich.”
