WDRB GM Apologizes for Calling Newspaper Poll Rigged

Bill Lamb, GM of Louisville, KY, FOX affiliate WDRB, has issued what he says is an apology for implying a local newspaper rigged its recent poll about the Kentucky Senate race.

“To suggest that the Courier rigged its poll is wrong and I’d like to apologize,” said Lamb in his editorial. “What I meant to say, much better than I did, was that when any organization with an agenda pays for a poll, pays for a study, we should always take that with a grain of salt.”

Lamb said he stood by his “very obvious opinion” that the Courier-Journal is a biased news organization. He added that he thinks the paper is proud of its slant and most probably won’t be offended by him saying so.

Lamb came under fire when he said the Louisville Courier-Journal, a paper he called “ultra-liberal” had rigged a poll about where Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) stood against his democratic challenger in the Kentucky Senate race.
